TigerEDGE Program
The EDGE program is a comprehensive program designed to prepare students with IDDs for employment and independent living. The program includes courses on topics such as:
Job skills
Life skills
Self-advocacy
Academic skills
Eligibility
To be remain eligible students must:
Be accepted in the TigerEDGE Program.
Maintain satisfactory academic and behavioral standing in the TigerEDGE program.
Receive Vocational Rehabilitation services.
Tuition and Fees
Students in this program will be charged the fee of undergraduate in-state tuition, regardless of their residency status.

Admission Process
To apply for this program, students must submit the following materials:
Complete the TigerEDGE application.
A letter of recommendation from a teacher or other professional who
knows the student well.
A recent psychoeducational evaluation.
A Personal Statement must be submitted in addition to the application.
Students must complete the interview process.

Selection Process
A committee of university faculty, staff, and outside reviewers will review applications and select a maximum of eight students for the program. The committee will consider the following factors:
ï‚· The student's academic record
ï‚· The student's letter of recommendation
ï‚· The student's psychoeducational evaluation
ï‚· The student's motivation and commitment to the program
ï‚· Successful completion of the summer explorer camp

Program Requirements
Students in this program will be required to:
ï‚· Register for two audited classes per semester (In addition to UNIV 1000 the first semester.)
ï‚· Register for and successfully pass all the EDGE program courses.
ï‚· Maintain satisfactory academic and behavioral standing.

Accommodations
Students in this program will be eligible for reasonable accommodations under the Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA). Accommodations may include:
1. Extended testing time (when necessary)
2. Recording of lecture
3. Preferential seating
4. Other accommodations as needed

Certificate of Completion
Upon successful completion of the two-year program, students will receive a certificate of completion. This certificate will recognize the student's achievements and may be helpful in securing employment or
housing.
Prospective
Parents & Students
Applications open November 1 - Feb 14, 2024. We accept a Maximum of 8 students per cohort. This a residential program, students must be able to live on campus independently.
Application close: February 15, 2024.
